📚 Wired Wits Reading List! 🌟

We are launching the Wired Wits Reading List and Book of the Month Club!!

Here I will share my thoughts and insights on books I have read, am currently reading, and plan to read in the future. This is an opportunity to share books that have helped me along my journey, and I think they may help you as well. The books will relate to Business, AI, and AI in Business.

This will be a two-way street. As I often remind the community, I want and need to hear from you. You have as much to offer the Wired Wits Community and me as we have to offer you. I want to know what you're reading, what has resonated with you, and what you think could help the community.

Every month, we will announce the Book of the Month selection. I'm not sure what we will call it yet, but we'll figure it out. If you have thoughts, head over to the Watercooler and give us your feedback. For now, though, here are three recommendations, one from each category I mentioned. 📬

What I am reading next:

The Collaboration Challenge: How Nonprofits and Businesses Succeed Through Strategic Alliances" by James E. Austin

What it is about: In an era where collaboration is more than a buzzword, James E. Austin's "The Collaboration Challenge" stands out as a pivotal guide for forging effective alliances. This book delves into the nuanced world of strategic partnerships between nonprofits and businesses, presenting a compelling case for the mutual benefits of such collaborations. Through a blend of theoretical frameworks, practical management strategies, and real-world case studies, Austin illustrates how these alliances can lead to significant value creation, innovation, and social impact.

Why I'm Reading This:  At the heart of Wired Wits is our commitment to empowering small businesses and side hustlers by fostering a culture of collaboration. "The Collaboration Challenge" resonates deeply with our mission, as we navigate the intricacies of building a community where entrepreneurs don't feel isolated in their journeys. Through strategic partnerships and mutual support, we're not just growing businesses; we're building an ecosystem of shared success. Our upcoming AI-driven platform and collaborations with entities like the SBA are set to revolutionize the entrepreneurial landscape, making the dream of a united, thriving community of innovators a reality. This book is a cornerstone in understanding how we can better facilitate these crucial connections and transform the entrepreneurial game together.

Anthony's Note: These two books are focused on manufacturing and project management, but they were instrumental in helping me truly understand interdependencies in everything around us and the importance of looking downstream. Now, as I start validating an idea and begin planning, I focus on interdependencies not only in my tool stack but also in the business processes. Mapping out a process flow early and understanding how each system or process feeds into or depends on another will make your planning more thorough, and reduce potential gaps and problems later.
